Google App Testing New Incognito Mode : Google is testing a new shortcut to quickly access incognito mode in its search app, through which users will be able to quickly take advantage of this feature. This feature has been seen in a beta version of the Google app for Android smartphones, in which the option to disappear labels from the bottom banner has also been added.
This update comes at a time when recently reports had surfaced that Google may stop continuously scrolling search results on mobile and desktop platforms.
New Incognito Mode shortcut
Android Authority Google has spotted a new shortcut on the Google app’s Android 15.26.34.29.arm64, which shows the incognito tab. This latest beta version is available for download for testers who have opted to receive the update from the Google Play Developer Program.
Tapping on the search box with this new shortcut will show a new “Chrome Incognito” option above the keyboard. This should make it easier for users to switch to incognito mode faster than the current solution, which involves tapping on the profile picture in the top right corner of the screen and then selecting the incognito tab under Account.
New look of the Home tab
The update also brings a new look to the Google app’s home tab. Labels that were previously visible, such as Home, Search, and Saved, are now hidden, leaving only the icons visible. This gives the interface a simpler look.
